A this site is world wide and not all speak/read engligh, is it possible to get a check box for these people??? This would allow people that comment on photo not to have to waste their time if the person isn't even reading them or understanding them. Some may just not want comments. |

I often read comments on other people's photos. I find it helps me learn more from other people's work. It's actually one of the main reasons I joined this site. |

Trying to change the commenting structure for DPChallenge is a daunting, and timeless issue. Wasn't there also a poll on this?
Comments - R.I.P.
choice of comments option
add a simple checkbox...

How about a "DO NOT WANT VIEWERS" BUTTON.
That way, if you are afraid of interaction, you can stay safely sterile.
I have to admit that a good or bad comment is feedback; and isn't that why we are here? The comments I find useless are the sycophantic comments after a challenge. TO me the "challenge part of the site is just a catalyst for sharing the photo. Thats why it so annoying to read the "did not meet challenge" commenters.
I would vote for a rule that called for a check box or was challenge met sliding scale 1-5; and ban comments about that issue.
