Does any one know when the computer that will replace the apple g5 is coming out I hear it will be called the mac pro and apple will present it at the WWDC 06 on the 7th of next mounth but i was woundering if you guys new anything

It will most likely be available right after the anouncement, at least one of the configurations. This is how it usually happens with Apple.

yes 2006 only two weeks to go when it does come out it will blow away everythig if they have sorted the Photoshop thing? lets hope they have

That's up to Adobe...CS3 will be out next year and will be fully Intel Native.

I am certainly waiting for the new mac's to arrive, but I have learned never to buy the first revision of computers. Best is to wait until next year when adobe has a CS..3 out and Apple had at least one update to its new operating system and a new revision to its pro consumer line.

rumor has it that the machines they announce at the show will contain a supported version of boot camp...allowing windows to run.

i'm wondering what the performance of CS2 under windows on a mac will do while i work to transition my stuff to Mac. :/

If you're running WinXP (via bootcamp) on an Intel dual-core mac, then you would expect the same performance as on a similarly specced Intel machine.
