Hello all,
I am new to the Digital world. I have been shooting for about 30 years with 35mm, but this digital is INCREDIBLE. I am learning how to manipulate the images in MS Digital Image Pro and in ArcSoft as well as Inkscape. Thought I was doing great until I came here and saw what everyone else was doing. I have entered 2 challenges but with the caleber of creations here, Ill be lucky if I am not just laughed out. LOL. Anyway...would love to hear some critiques of my work. It is the only way an artist can really grow. So, please, feel free to tear it apart. I am not easily offended and I have asked you for your oppinion so do not go easy. I can't wait and I hope to see my stuff get better!!

We'll see what Leroy has in store - his honesty is curdling.
Curdling - man, I kill myself sometimes!

Depth of Field. the depth of field (DOF) is the distance in front of and behind the subject which appears to be in focus.

Welcome! I left you a couple comments and I see that you marked one (on the kids shot) as helpful as I was editing it to add a little more info. Hope it helps.
Best of luck! By the look of your images, you should be very competitive in the challenges.
Beware of some of the clowns in this place and note that, no matter what anyone else says, I am the only real voice of sanity and reason here.
Have fun. |

Left you a few comments - hope you find them helpful. If not just ignore them, I'm no expert. Just another person trying to shoot what I see and love, and learning as I go.
Welcome to DPC

| OMG you guys are going to be loads of fun!! Thank you for all the comments and the answer to the "DUH" question of mine. Animals are one of my favorite and I will keep in mind the white fur suggestions...not too sure how to reduce that glare but will work on it. |
