Do you mean to make it, host it, or register a domain with?

Well, I can make one for a very competitive price :P Although there are plenty of sites out there with photo galleries pre-designed that you can customise to taste really easily. Pbase and Smugmug to name 2.

The main reason I did not go with godaddy was how many things were hidden cost compared to other hosts. I use dreamhost. 20 gigs with unlimited SQLs Unlimited email unlimited hosting. Etc and priced the same as godaddy. First domain is free. |

I have my domain name registered with godaddy.com and my website is hosted by lunarhost.com
Really good packages.
They have a web builder built in but I don't use that stuff...I do my own HTML editing.

I started out with a service hosting my site and I and another programmer did the programming (my day job is as a java programmer and I've worked on many websites). Then I got tired of it. I thought ... I don't want to have to work all day on websites and then come home and do it some more. Besides, it just took time away from my real goals.
So... I went with smugmug because I'd rather concentrate on the photography and business end of things and let someone else handle the website.
If you decide you're in the same camp... feel free to use my coupon ( Yi9EsaJKWupHM ) to save you $5 and give me a $10 credit. It's a win-win situation. |

I've heard good things about lunarpages, but I've never checked them out personally to know. I have quibbles with ifreeweb's lack of ftp availability (the option is there but the circuit is so overloaded I can't ever get a connection and so have to upload my files the old fashioned way), my current provider, but have been too lazy to go check out the competition.
