Thanks to several comments I received on a picture of my grandmother:


I made several edits. This was my first time extensively cloning at the pixel level and using a black selection in a different layer at various transparencies to darken a large background area.

How'd I do? I plan to use this at her 90th birthday in October, so I really want it to look good.

Very nice work. It does work much better now. For a formal portrait, I would still like to see the 2 stray eyebrow strands cloned out or darkened, and the nose hairs blurred to soften them.

Her wrinkles add alot of character and the sentiment is wonderful.

Again, a portrait to love.
