It is with great pleasure that I announce that I have finally clawed my way up the ladder and become an average photographer! For the first time ever, my average vote received has crossed the 5.5 threshold!

| Isn't it nice to know that the world at large thinks Robert is average? I'd like to know where those voters based their scores on. They must all be professionals with $6000 worth of equipment that are getting paid 10's of thousands a year for their above average photos. |

It's all massively subjective though isn't it? After all, I was a bit surprised to see that the winning entries in the "10" challenge (from first down to about 18th place) were mostly ones that I'd given "average" scores to.
As the old adage says, you can't please all of the people.... |

Oh, that's absolutely NOT true. Go browse my challenge entries sometime; I have entered the most gawdawful stuff more times than I care to remember. I deserve every low vote I have ever received, more or less. I might quibble with some of them, but not that many :-) I am quirky, I am unpredictable, I am a millstone around the neck of my team, buyt I am trying :-)

Nononono! I'm HAPPY! It's been my GOAL to get that damned average over 5.5; it's REALLY hard to move it much when you have entered as many challenges as I have. But thanks for the hug!

It is so hard to move that average after so many challenges.
I've been just averaging my latest 6. Makes me feel better...not always...I'm known to enter some clunkers, too.
You're at 5.88. Would be much higher if it weren't for that Motion blur II entry. |
