Help! I have to buy a new camera to replace the one I "accidentally misplaced". I am very interested in photography but know very little. I mostly just like to have good pictures of my friends and family and the occasional vacation. My 13 month old is the subject of the majority of my pictures. I need something that is fairly user friendly and fairly easy on the pocketbook. I have owned two different models in the past. My first one, several years ago, was a fujifilm finepix A303 and more recently a Canon Powershot 400. I preferred the Canon, though there were features of both cameras that I liked. The Canon seemed to take clearer pictures overall, I am sure due to more mp, but lacked an \"action shot\" setting so I had difficulty preventing blurry pictures when there was movement involved. I also had many, many shots with red eyes with the Canon, even though the red eye reduction was on, it didnt seem to help at all. I have used a couple of friends cameras and had luck with their red eye reduction but rarely could \"capture the moment\" after three flashes and then the shutter release. My son is quick! I have read about and compared several models but there is just so many out there now that I am lost! The other two cameras I had were gifts so I didnt have to make the decision.:) Any suggestions of a model and place to buy would be greatly appreciated. I am not against buying a used one to save a few pennies or the ability to get a better camera. Would love to be able to spend 800 dollars and get a GREAT camera but being a single mom, that is just not in the cards right now. Thanks for your time and suggestions!
