When was the last time you sat in a relaxed place, no distractions, and were completely moved emotionally about your life, through your own photographs?

Through a link in the slideshow software thread, I was sitting here looking through a bunch of pics I took a while back, in La Jolla, and had William Cushman's piano music playing, and was suddenly taken to a different place, through looking at moments I have captured, and the expressions on people's faces, now alive in a way, in the images.

In a way, it became something similar to a tribute to someone and their work, through a showing of the world, as seen through their eyes, in this case, my own. One of those moments more difficult to put into words than imagineable.

Music changes everything....

yeah it certainly does. music can make pictures WAY more emotional. That is what is so great about slide shows. music is a strong thing.

I agree. I love seeing slide shows put to music. Text adds even another dimension, especially if you get somebody who really has a way with words to write the blurbs.
We went to a slide show presentation of a scouting trip that my son did a few years ago, that was just pictures of their trip (awesome pictures, since it was a week long conoeing trip up in Canada somewhere), with music, and text that described some of the highlights, challenges etc. of their trip, and some quotes. It brought tears to my eyes, it was that powerful.
I really need to get a good slide show program and put something together for our upcoming family reunion.

Happens to me all the time... I look at my images, and suddenly want to cry.
