Unfortunately I'm sure there are people who wouldn't be as diplomatic as this.

Exactly. Personally, I would google their information and then make a surprise visit to their place of work and then POW! How do you like them apples? At least, I would be leaving a comment. :P

Sure.

1) It would help us spot anamalies in voting patterns - from the opposite direction.

Precisely the negative factor other people have cited.

Spotting "anomalies" is not the job of the membership, and given that there are probably as many definitions of what constitutes a "voting anomaly" as there are individual voting scales or criteria, this is far more likely to create bitter factionalism than it is to provide you information which will help you become a better photographer, which is the stated goal of the site.
