Hello All!

Just letting you know that I'll be in Paris from around the 17, 18th and 19th and in London from the 20-22nd.

I'd love to meet up with anyone that's around on any of those days as I have nothing planned at the moment other than taking pictures....drinking and eating. I'll go anywhere at any time but if people start responding by PM or on this thread we can nail down some definites plans if possible...otherwise I'm free as a bird.

Hope to hear from you soon and feel free to give me cell numbers if you wish. I'll be bringing my ibook on the trip so I should have easy internet access there and at the Internet Cafe's...

Cheers,
Steve

Where are you based whilst in London?

I'm probably free on that weekend but not so keen to traipse into the centre of town as we've had too many busy weekends lately... we've a fabulous Italian just where we live - if you could be arsed to come all the way up to zone 4 (we're 40 mins North on the tube from central london) that'd be cool. But no probs if North Finchley doesn't really appeal!!!!

That sounds fine. I do remember you recommending Camden Market, for a nice walk around which is not too far from you (?)...would that be cool as well?

I'll be staying in Kew Gardens...or very near but I have no issues getting anywhere.

Steve, I may well be in London on the 22nd - more importantly, in London and planning on being out shooting: as ever, no fixed plan yet, just wherever the whim takes me, but you're welcome to hook up.

I have a late-ish gig the night before (Blue Man Group, big outdoor stage in Canary Wharf, free event so might be worth you heading over there anyhow) so doubt I'll be starting early.

Ed-That sounds great...both the Blue Man thing and hooking up on the 22nd.

Let's ice off some plans when I hit Europe as we get closer to that date. I'll be on the internet throughout each day while there so I'll be easy to reach.

Camden Market is about half an hour tube journey south from me but I'd be happy to meet you there if you fancy it - it's an interesting place to visit - lots and lots of goths and punks walking around to shoot plus interesting stalls and shops too.

I am currently based over in Canary Wharf - it would be good to meet up with you both again, if practicable. Is the gig free entry? Are you shooting it formally, Ed? Will they allow other big camera toting people in?! If not, I could meet up with you after work, Steve, for some early evening/sunset shots!

This is the area where they normally have concerts etc:

I am currently working in the building middle left of these three:

I have a wedding to attend and shoot on 22/7, so cannot stay out ultra late (or get too drunk, Steve).

Cheers

hehehehe. Drunk? I have no idea what you're talking about?

This is sounding great...I've never seen the Blue Man Group so that's totally cool with me.

Ed-Could we meet at that event or would the next day better for you? Either way...I'm around. I have a new wide angle "e301 lens" that's primed and ready to percolate.

Kavey-I love Camden...and yes it's a target rich environment. Although I almost got into a little tussle with some Punks, last time I was there but they layed off immediately, once I mentioned that I knew you. Having you by my side will undoubtedly give me super-power like strength.

"They say this cat Kavey is a bad mother... / SHUT YOUR MOUTH! / I'm talkin' 'bout Kavey. / THEN WE CAN DIG IT! "
(from Shaft)

I can't wait.

LOL!
Sounds good to me - I'll PM you my main email addy and my phone numbers so you can call me when you get into London? Or perhaps a couple of days before hand if possible - do you have skype? I'm on that if you want to do a free call?

Of course!

I received a flyer at lunch time referring to it. I probably cannot leave the office until 5-30 at the v. earliest, but that should give us time for a drink or two.

Bump before I leave tonight. Thanks everyone that's PMed me so far. I still could use a few cell numbers so I can reach you all and when I figure out where I'm staying in Paris, I'll post/pm that number.

Cheers!
