Today was always going to be very hard for me, I knew that, but it still had to happen.
One of my dearest friends, a person who meant so much to me, was today finally laid to rest. In the four years of knowing her, she brought so much joy into my life.
The past twelve months have been so difficult for all those who knew her. She watch with sadness as her beloved husband suffered with cancer and nursed him until he passed away in February this year.
What makes this even more sad, is that we didn't know that she herself was also suffering with cancer. Just over four months and fourteen days, she also passed away. Today was her funeral.
She is now with the love of her life again. We have so many beautiful memories of both of them, and will cherish them forever. I needed to express this in some way, so as to deal with my love for them both.
You all know I have dedicated one of my image to her, and have called it "Angels of Light". I have had it printed and framed and gave it to the family as a keepsake.
They are donating it to the hospice, "Dove Cottage", to be placed in the meditation room they have dedicated to both Ted & Brenda, which was donated on behalf of all those that loved them.
The image will be placed on the wall in the massage room, which will be called Ted & Brenda's Meditation & Massage Room at the hospice.
I am so blessed to have known Brenda & Ted Herbert, may they both be at peace with the angels..... love Sherryl & Peter
