I love digital art. Experimenting is a hoot. Time consuming however since I'm not quite a Photoshop expert yet!!
For this shot, I mostly used the smudge tool.
After......
Before......

Thanks for looking!

We haven't seen much digital art lately, so here's one
I played with this morning:

A composite of about 20 images or so that I did for a class a while back. |

Just uploaded a new series.
I think this one is my favorite:

I wish I had the original. The first I just fixed up a bit. The second I combined a photograph of her eyes open and with her eyes closed. Smoothed skin and upped the contrast like crazy. And changed the lips and eyes hues.

This turned into
This
Used my fine art program to convert a photograph to a pen sketch. Thought the subject leant itself well to a graphic interpretation.

Is it time to add some more Digital Art to this thread?
Hope so, because here goes:
turned into this.
Ice Dance
I did this a long time ago, and wonder what I did...
Then this one just begged for this treatment:

I have looked at both Light Dances by sfalice. I think I like the yellow one better. I think for me the blue wasn't as soothing to look at, but that is not to say that both images are very cool. |

It's possible for only a few humans to fly beyond Earth's atmosphere, while outer space is not a friendly place due to radiation, vast distances, extreme temperatures and other reasons. In our imagination space is usually considered to be mysterious-attractive and thus beautiful. Here is how I see it through digital photography, combining more than one images:

One of many reasons why I'm glad this thread still has interest.
As an old science fiction reader, (um, rephrase that) as a science fiction reader of long standing, (yeah, that's better) I'm delighted to see Pascal's work as rendered here. And Ladymonerda's comments about Star Trek ring a bell as well. (Beam me up Scotty) While not a Trekky, I saw enough of the shows to appreciate the TV genre.
What excites me most of all are the many ways we use this exciting new tool we have to play with to create new art. |

Ham, I chatted to lang, the thumbnail for that image doesn't work because it is a .gif file and the [thumb] tags expect a jpeg. Weird!
edit: Apparently it's fixed now :)

Couple of new ones. Don't want this thread to die off forever into nothingness. :)
