Just wondering today about the things I need to work on in my photos and the things I think are my strong points. It would be interesting to see what you think are your strong points.

I think my strength is composition. What I really need to work on is focus. I usually get really close, but just a little soft. I don't know if I get in a hurry or have the wrong dof or move the camera too much - or perhaps a combination of those things. It's frustrating to compose a really nice shot and get good exposure but find out it's not tack sharp.

I am very good at seeing a picture before I take it, or 'pre-visualizing'.

Im with Joey I see things and know what i want. The hard part is getting it to a print. I find Watercolor painter eaiser to do this as there are less limits.

Kronus, I think one of your strenghts is killer wide angle shots--

You have some very outstanding and original wide angle shots in your portfolio!!

I think I'm good at post processing but average at everything else.

My bicepts...Welcome to the gun show!!!!

(seriously, hell if I know - I'm still trying to figure that out myself. It cerrtainly isn't motivation.)

Strength: I generally take very sharp, crisp and technically accurate pictures.

Opportunity: My post-processing skills are pretty much non-existent.

I'd also like to be able to see more outside-the-box when creating an image - for example, I just marvel (and envy) people who can create works of art with emotion & depth from a blurry/grainy/imperfect image. I am a technician, not an artist - and it shows!!! :-)

Strengths: my quirkyness, and composition. At least I'd like to think these are strengths of mine. :-)

Okay...I will rephrase. My strength is my ability to stir people up and get the emotion within the shot. I can see a good landscape and I have taught my children to read the sky and know when we are going to have a good sunset ahead of time.

I can process to save an image and I can give a good mouthful.

I love the dangerous shots and have the courage to try different angles. I had a huge fear of heights...until I was forced to climb out to precarious heights. Since then I have run across school roofs, climbed to the top of cattle ramps, gone up in cherry pickers as well as many other situations just to get the shot.

My downfall is I get so focused on my work that sometimes I miss the little details but I am working on that. Actually I have plenty of other downfalls.

I haven't been in the game long enough to develop any particular strengths...at least none that I can see yet. In time, I guess.

Good question.
I really don't know what or if I even do have any particular strengths.
I know I like to capure what I run across when see something worthy of a click in everyday life.
Candids lately have become my passion and am working on keeping my eyes busy looking for that
certain expression or pose that comes across so well, be it emotive or humorous.

Just getting up each and everyday with a smile on my face, especially if I have not been well.

This is because I now have something to look forward to, re turning on my computer to connect to my daily dose of DPC.....
I also now have that wide smile on my face, due to having my Canon Camera and also for taking the wonderfull photos for DPC chllenges.

I also agree with the comment the Joey made as well;
Joey Lawrence comment; "I am very good at seeing a picture before I take it, or pre-visualizing".

Crap. You have a beautiful wife and the ability to bring life to images. That is something you cannot buy and yet many want.

I beg, to disagree Phil, as you have a really warm heart, and it shows in all your wonderful images that you have in your portfolio, dear friend.....

Being as selective as possible helps a lot. Will improve your overall quality.

I think that's a very powerful strength, and one I need to exercise. At the present, I think one of my strengths is composition, and my weakness is patience and trying to look in my mind all the possibilities when shooting.
