A bit late I know but I always meant to upload this shot here and ask for comments, I was seriously considering entering this instead in the environmental portrait challenge that was last May, what do you guys think?

I think you should have gone with this one instead. It has lots more environment and incredible 3D like depth.

I think you made the right choice. the one you picked felt more like the guitarist might be in his actual environment, instead of just posing in a beautiful location.

I agree with posthumous, considering the challenge description the natural environtment was sort of key here.
Still, that's a very sweet shot, not that we'd expect anything less from you at this point ;-)
