I'm not there but grew up there. But if anyone is interested in classical and baroque music there is a concert the last sunday in July. They play Handel's Royal Fireworks and do fireworks to the the music. Haven't been for years but it's amazing.
I was just thinking about it this morning because our fireworks here were not that great. You'd think being in the historic triangle where independence was won, they'd have a spectacular fireworks display right? Not. It made me think of times growing up and going to this concert in Spokane WA.
Even if you don't live in eastern WA it's well worth the drive to hear the music and see the show. It used to be free, and I'm thinking it still is. They do it outside obviously and everything about it is spectacular.
