Unfortunately I had to get DPC to remove the excellent tutorial written by Jon Pink titled Touching up your portraits. It was using one of my images, which he asked permission to use, and I was naieve enough to give him permission without firstly checking it was alright with the model. Anyway she found out about it and asked to have it removed.
Since then I know a lot more about permissions and model releases etc.
There are no legal actions, just a tarnished friendship & Pi**ed work college.
So as a warning to others, don't post images or particularly give someone else permission to use one of your images without asking for permission first, and preferably getting a signed model release.
My appoligies to all that such an excellent tutorial had to be removed due to my stupidity.

Aweeeeee that is too bad. I hope your model realizes it was an honest mistake and the image was only shared with other photographers, not sold across the web or anything ugly. :/

If you look at a model release form and think of it from a model's point of view. I don't know a whole lot about what a model's point of view actually is, but it strikes me that the model doesn't have a whole lot of legs to stand on in the context, except the right to refuse.

How much does he/she want?

She doesn't want anything other than have the tutorial removed as she is peeved that her image is used in a how to make someone look pretier tutorial. I can see her point of view. She is not ugly or anythig, just had a small skin problem.
It is similar to using a picture of someone who is a little overweight without their permission and putting it on a weight loss web page I guess. I know people who would probably kill me if I did that ;-)

Well I will offer and image for him to put in place of it:

That one probably won't work. I will see if I can get a portriat so that tutorial can be put back up.

Doh! I referred to that tutorial fairly often.

Anybody feel up to rewriting it with new examples?
