I'm using both my new toy (30D) and the old toy (300D) and have them both set to "continuous numbering". Problem is I tend to switch cards, too, and the numbering is getting all confused. The batch I took with the 30D today were numbered in accordance with the Rebel's sequence, not the 30D's. I figure the continuous numbering is a good way to keep track of shutter actuations, but not if I can't keep 'em straight. Anyone who uses two cameras have a solution for this? Do I need to dedicate cards to each camera? Thanks!

I use the same card in both my G3 and 10D. I reformat each time in the camera and the numbering comes up fine in each camera.

Thanks - I think that's what I'll need to do. Much appreciated!!
