I'd sure appreciate some feedback as to whether or not a title would have helped in this challenge.
I usually do have one, but thought this image wouldn't need anything.
oh well..

don't have a clue if a title would have helped.. and what the heck title would be appropriate ? I like it, myself. It is so clean that I actually thought that it had been generated by 3-d modelling software, at first.

Thanks,, that was my conundrum.. what to call it.. the only thing that came to mind was,,,"get the point?" which seemed rather trite.
I appreciate the comment |

A good picture shouldn't necessarily need a title, but for the challenges they ask for one so I always do mt best to fulfill that request. I find two things with your picture that IMO would help it. First it seems fuzzy around the edges, you either had too much procesing to get the background dark enough, or it was simply out of focus. Secondly, it looks much better flipped with the drop in the top right corner. A viewer usually reads a picture much like they read a book, and if that were the case they would start with the syringe end and end up with the super drop as a reward.

Oh, I gave you a 6 BTW.

I agree (with one of the other comments posted)that it looks like it has been overprocessed and the detail is lost and the overall photo is too smooth.
IMO, it not having a title wasn't a factor.
The composition is great. The photo is just artificial looking.
Adding: BTW, I am on a downward spiral so I wouldn't take much stock in my comment. I am confused at the moment, it seems, as to what is a good photo.

Hmm, I was going for a softer look,, no, not a lot of post processing for the background. I wanted the drop to be the sharp focal point.
Really? flip it? that looks really odd to me.
It's wonderful to have comments like these to look at one's images through other eyes.
Thank you for taking the time, Dick. You've been a big help, both here and in our other communications. |

When a care giver "burps" a needle it has to be tip up, maybe that is what influenced my comment. But, just think about it, what portion of your image is the focal point? The drop, right? I think let the rest of the subject lead you to the main focal point, then at that time the whole picture has been "read". Of course it's all just a matter of opinion. :<) |
