I'm sure many of us have a favorite subject to which we return over and over. Here's mine: a tree next to the Little Bear River near Logan, Utah USA. It's interesting to see how different light and situations affect it!

Just for fun, this next image was taken at the same site, but the tree is just off the frame to the right:

It would be fun to see your "series" of shots like this!

Those are some exceptionally nice shots, David. Bear River #3 is my favorite.

Here are a few of my own:

BTW, I'm coming up to USU in the fall :)

Very nice place, Justin. I love both of them: the rich wetness is enticing. It would be fun to have low light and a very long exposure with this place, too. The second shot is a bit more silky than the first, but both are really lovely! Stop by and see me at USU--although I have a new job now at the American West Heritage Center, just down the road. I'm still an adjunct at USU, though.

Oh, heck, don't get me started with this track, LOL... I keep going back to the same places every WEEK, let alone seasonally, and you've all seen 'em :-)

LOL. You could start with your "Skiffs at Sunset" series.

For about six months I have been taking the identical picture across the valley from my house. What changes are clouds and colours, and this is helped because it is west of the house. All the pictures are in a blog.

The last three pictures are the same view which is actually across a Nature Reserve. But some of the trees have been chopped down because they are 'alien invaders' and are destroying the natural fynbos on the hill. Read more about the Nature Reserve here.

Whoa, I think we have a winner ;) For those that have not checked this out, take a look, it's lovely. Six months of identical composition but with varying skies, weather, etc.
