Allergic to ribbons? :)

Mine is what I would call a bit unique to. It will be interesting to see if people "really look" at the photo and what the comments are. lol. It's going to be a fun challenge I think!

This should be interesting. The challenge is "The number 10" not 10. So, those picky people out there, the ones who decided what was and was not stationary, what was and was not a shadow, will now vote on what "The Number 10" is. Will a person be considered the number 10? Will 2 hands be considered the number 10? Or is your best chance a photograph of an actual number 10?

I'm staying out of this one. :)

I'm in.

The weather around here has been horrible for 2 weeks now. Ruined the fireworks on the 4th.

Managed to get in a shot between all the thunder storms.

I think these people tend to quell their reaction when a large portion of the pictures seem to not fit their idea. If half of the pictures use 10 objects instead of a physical "10", what are they going to do? give them all a 1?

If this were the case then I think we'll end up with watches, mail boxes, jersey numbers, etc. I think we should just consider this a mini-Free study with "10" as a baseline.

I totally agree with Rikki. Anything that can be regarded as a 10 should be entered and not looked at as if it doesn't fit. If everyone photographed the literal "number 10" it would be very very boring to me. There was really no description so its whatever it will be. It all depends on if the voter gets it or not and likes it. :)

OK, this was a possible entry of mine, but I ultimately decided it wasn't right. (Don't worry, my current entry is nothing like this). I just thought I'd show an idea I had that was quite subtle.

Most people may not know what Neon is. Perhaps? I have been shooting neon all week and now I give up with nothing I like.

Yes, another reason I didn't enter. At 10:00 a large woman decided to sit down and have a smoke right in the middle of my field. She was big enough that I was quite sure she would count as a major element.

Ya, the 10 connection is 10:00 (as per the clock which I had to do a lot of work on to bring out), not the atomic number of Neon.

I already spent a week with the stationary/not stationary police. Just don't have the stomach for it. Give me a nice simple obvious subject like fireworks or flowers. :)

Arghhhh....I had one in and pulled it. Not sure I should put it back in. Will probably get me in the low 5's like a lot of mine seem to be doing lately.

"Description: You'll get no help from us here: make of it what you will"

Don't be hard on yourself people... There are no rules.

As long as I think of "10" in the photo... it doesn't matter if a count of something, or number itself... it should be ok :)

I am giving away $10 for every 10, but the offer is only good for the first 10 minutes of voting or the first 10 votes or until I run out of 10 dollar bills (I only have one). This may be considered buying votes and I could get a 10 year suspension, that's 10 times better than getting 1's and 0's from 10 out of 10 votes.

Then again, I TEN-tatively may not even enter.

Hmmm... if you can put this into a photo... you'd win blue ribbon :D

It'll be in a photo alright but he can't enter it because it breaks all the rules including some some etiquette ones. :P
