Okay
So here's my story.
I picked up my DigiRebelXT just about 7,000 pictures ago. March of 05 to be exact.
About three weeks ago - I was taking a few photos when I noticed there was a strange charcoal blurred line across my view. WHAT is that...??! SO I take the lens off only to see 4 rectangular shaped pieces just floating there inside my camera. Three of them were some form of frame to hold the the white plastic/glass piece used for focus points which ALSO fell into the interior.
I WAS NOT HAPPY.
I did NOT buy at an online retailer but rather at Best Buy - brand new - not even open box for $999. + tax.
No warranty as Ive had it greater than a year. *Sigh*
Has anyone else had this happen?
Any suggestions on how to get this fixed?
Thanks
Acts7

| Try calling Canon after the vacation and see if they will repair. Suppose this story supports the idea of buying insurance.... not that I do. |

| I actually do have insurance but I want to get it repaired. It would seem this ought to be cheaper than any other option. Surely wouldnt be more than $100 or max $200?? |
