We should think about doing one in NAPA.... wine tasting, then try to photograph something! LOL.... If we all meet at a spa, we can shoot our Zen shots! :-P

Right on the other side of the freeway from the kite festival is the Takara Sake Company -- tasting room is open 12-6. It is more zen-like than Napa and a lot closer (you could walk there from the kite festival -- maybe 1.5 miles).

By which time it's probably safe to drive your car again ... always supposing you don't park near there and walk out to the festival in the first place.

Ok, yeah... just got new job, I work tomorrow, at both the new job and the old job after that.

I'd like to go to a GTG, if I miss the thread for the next one, someone PM me... maybe the coast, the redwoods, night city shooting, or something

edit to add: darn, if only I'd seen this before wednesday, I could have made arrangements, but then again, I think Dave works tomorrow too

oh well, yeah, make sure I see the next one

I'm in! Although I tend to lag I'll try and be there at 11, if I'm late and you start walking around i'll stalk find you guys.

Although I'm going to try and be early to get parking (the signs are already up), I run late pretty frequently so don't wait around too long if I'm not there yet ...

I got steel and aluminum cans (there haven't been true "tin" cans in long time) and some string, yes ... should be effective up to about 40 feet, and easier than shouting in the wind. Maybe I'll bring some to try out.

If you're coming jdannels I'm gonna be right behind you all day! I sure do like your photography! Of course, that means Rikki is going to have to be close by too, 'cause I like his photography too! And then there's ... oh, never mind... I'll just tag along with anybody handy.

P.S. I actually do know what GeneralE looks like, so that gives me the only advantage I'll have all day!
