I rather like it. Taken at the Yorktown Victory Center. My 5yo daughter helped this little old lady carry 4 loads of wood to the kitchen.

Only 4 loads? Eh. When I was five, I carried twelve loads of wood and bricks through five miles of deep snow and scorching desert for my grandpa. Kids these days - lazy I tells ya!

;-P

Only 12 loads ??
When I was five, I carried 15 loads of lead- cased bricks, on my head, walking barefoot over broken glassed swamps, inhabited by tiger snakes and funnel web spiders. I had to do this each morning before 5am for my Gran. I then had to swim, through shark infested water, the 25km back home to get ready for school. Don't get me started on how I got to school !!
Kids these days !!!

art you should stop telling bear's stories...

(ham runs as far away as possible, he thinks bear can't possibly be that fast)

lol well I grew up woodcutting with my dad all summer long lol. We only had a wood furnace so had to work for our heat source. I wish I could have gotten a shot from the front but I didn't want to distract either of them- they were having a little chat that was so sweet. I like to leave my dd alone when she is in company like that.
I do have another of the old womans face, but it's not as clear- it's in my portfolio.

I actually didn't desat. I colored everything by my daughter with the paintbrush. Now if anyone has any tips on desat for something like this I would be more then appreciative. I tried to but didn't work since the old lady's skin is showing, did some weird stuff lol.

Thank you for the comments. I like the title idea.

Love the selective colour look, it carries further into the then and now theme. Then was B&W, now isn't. Just lovely
