That's how many miles I just completed on my road trip! I'm back and had to work all day today. I'll be getting to my photos, hopefully, over the weekend.

Unfortunately, 3 days before I got home, my laptop died on me. Luckily, because I feared just such a thing, I had been backing up all my photos on cd's and my sister has the on her laptop as well. I figured with having them files on my laptop, her laptop, and the cd's I'd be sure to have them all no matter what happened for the most part. I even kept the cd's separate from the laptop in case someone stole the laptop. The last three days I simply downloaded to her laptop and burned me a cd so I do have access to all my shots.

I got home with $15 left of my budget :) In all those miles, we had maybe around a total of 20 miles of construction and drove through only ONE brief rain shower (about 5 minutes worth.) The biggest disappointment was Mt. Rainier being shrouded in low, low heavy clouds while we were there. My sis did get nailed for speeding once (ironic, since she was very, very sure not to go over the limit...we both missed a sign in a podunk town going from 45 mph to 35 mph.) Turns out her license expired on her birthday in May (oops) so the guy just wrote her a ticket for that and gave a warning on the speed. Not too expensive.

We saw moose, baby moose, black bear and baby black bears, grizzly, eagles, antelope, elk and baby elk, mountain goat w/ baby, osprey (sp?), prairie dogs, wolf (or coyote), buffalo w/ babies, spotted lizard, and of course lots of deer. We also saw a camel (in someone's field with llamas.)

I will consider this trip my "waterfall" trip....more scenic waterfalls than I knew exsisted!

We went to: Rocky Mt. NP, Arches NP, Olympic NP, Glacier NP, Yellowstone NP, Grand Teton NP, Badlands NP, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Devils Towner, Corn Palace, Wall Drug, Seattle Market and Space Needle...and anything that was in between! :)

Good to be home

sounds like a hell of a trip! Can't wait to see the pictures. I am off for the summer, the benefit of working for the public school system, so i plan a few road trips myself. Can't wait!
