I second my wife's comments. we are sorry to hear your sad news. And I thought the same thing when Inread about the seizure. That is tough to see.

I didn't see the worst of it as I was a couple of minutes away form the house but walking in and seeing my daughter on the floor and my wife freaking out is something I will never forget and I forget EVERYTHING.

glad to hear you will get a new dog.

Sorry to hear. We had a beautiful female Coker Spaniel, Molly, that we had for 10 years. On a trip three years ago we took her with us. She was the normal full of energy loving friend. On the second day she started to get tired real fast and by the third day she couldn't standup, see or even hear us. We took her to the vet. She came down with a very fast acting diabetes. We put her on insulin but two days later I had to have put to sleep, she was too far gone. Both me and my wife cried. We buried her on a farm we have and put a big rock on it where we glued her dog tags. Losing a pet can be or in sometimes even more painful than losing a human friend. My wife was totally broken up for weeks. Finally after two years she let me get another puppy. This one is also a Cocker Spaniel, real small, full of energy, now two years old and looks just like Molly so we named her Missy. A good dog is definately mans best friend.

I'm sooo sorry, hun :( We had our 12 yr old dog put down last year and just a few months later had to do the same with our 16 yr old cat. It truly IS losing a member of the family, and should be mourned as such.

My heart goes out to you.. We just lost one of our cats. He just disapeared one day as he was an indoor and outdoor cat. We searched and searched contacted the Vets and humain societies in the are yet no luck. Last weekend I took the wife down to the build a bear and bought her a milk cow build a bear that looked like Floyd ( he was black and white like a milk cow) Bought the special heart that the money is donated to animal rescue. The funny thing is the little bugger would never let me pet him but he liked to lick my toe.. go figure just know I'm gona miss him. I hope my toe licking cat story brightens your day.

Man I am so very sorry to hear about your puppy. I too am a dog lover, and have lost many. To have one die in your arms is something I don't want to think about. Honestly, the best thing is to get a new puppy, I know it sounds crass but it will help in the healing. Again, I'm so very sorry.

That's so sad. Not to give you false hope; but I heard an expert on lost pets mention that when indoor cats get outside they often go silent and will hide very nearby for weeks without making a sound. Have you been leaving food and water near possible hiding places? Sometimes they do come back. Sorry for everyones' lost pets. I lost one particular cat that I mourned for years:(

I'm really sorry to hear of your puppy's passing. :( If you can take it, I would really suggest that you get a new puppy to have something to focus your love and attention on so the mourning process isn't so hard.

OH yeah i had a question does any one have those little chips they stick in dogs now?? I think it hold liek there Medical records in it and stuff maybe... i duno.... may its just for tracking.... any one know about this or have used this on there pets...

I had my cat chipped, as I took her to live abroad with me for 18 months, and you have to by law here. As far as I know it only keeps track of the cat's/your name and address, so she can be identified if she wanders off, and authorities can scan her and make sure she's really the cat who's identified as having rabies shots etc.

Sorry to read about your puppy; and wish you all the best with your new addition. Have you thought about getting pet insurance?

We had both of our dogs chipped. It basically just registers them. If they are picked up and have lost their collar, thry can get the owner information off the chip in their neck.
