Many important photographic contest works with similar basic editing rules but removing sensor dust is allowed.

I'm a newbie here, and haven't had a chance to yet enter any of the challenges, but I am a little surprised that you can't edit/clone out/remove sensor dust from a photo.

Brilliant photos all the same, and I'm sure there will be ribbons in the near future for you.

You can under the Advanced Editing rules, just not in Basic.

I´m very sorry about your DQ. I know the feeling, my first ribbon was DQ for the same reason. That is my opinion that It should be allowed to clean sensor spots in basic editing. These sensor spots are technical problem, and have nothing to do with photograph.

Great attitude!
Perhaps i can clean my sensor and win a ribbon too!
I'll go try right now ;)
