WOW!!! That's some pretty edgy stuff!

| I've always prefered Psychology over psychiatry (sp) see cant even spell it lol .. believing the majority of people can solve their issues with time and conversation and doing differently... although sometimes the use of medicines is essential to bring back into balance levels that are out of whack. So both would be beneficial imo :)
although the more I think about it.. a sex doctor .. like ruth.. is just more fun ;) |

Gerontologist, perhaps. Would have to be conversant with all systems, pharma and a good troubleshooter, I'd think. Or a naturopath. Or allergist.

interesting to hear people's different interests. I'm not certain if I'd be able to handle ER work. It looks exciting on tv (whether you watch things like ER, or real stories of the ER, etc), but I work in an animal hospital as an ER vet right now and the true real stories are difficult to deal with. I think the real stories with people would be harder. In fact, I'm kinda disillusioned with medicine (at least clinically at the moment) and looking to change career paths into pathology...this is interesting...can study infectious diseases or cancer or anything else. With the right research you can make a huge difference in people's lives without being bombarded by the sad stories the actual patient's are dealing with.
hope that didn't bring anyone down.
err..hope it wasn't a thread killer either

This is what most of my high school buddies used to say they wanted to be, but one of the more astute guys pointed out the obvious flaws in the motivation behind that pursuit which I won't go into detail about, but it reminds me of when I worked at a buffet restaurant as a teen - they always served fried chicken - and the things I saw done to it - *shudder* - I could not eat chicken for almost three years after I quit that job.
Hope you get the connection. :) |
Not to mention the obvious problems that could arise if you're wife catches you bringing your work home with you. :) Honest honey it's just research! |

I am an ED RN at this time...no aspirations to be a doc, mainly BECAUSE of the gynecology things. As said before...it is NEVER Miss November you would see. What kind of home life is that after work? Tired of work...the wife is rarin to go...don't really want to see anymore, right? :)
If I had to choose...ED, of course.
I would avoid GYN and dermatology...people pick up some of the most disgusting things that are skin related (that goes to the crotch area too).
