How about the ability to comment directly on a persons profile page?

And a related one: Add comments on a whole collection in someone's portfolio.

...hmmm, and how about nesting comments on all comments so someone can comment on someone's previous comments and then a third person could jump in and flame the person who should not have left the comments about the other comments when those comments were directed at the photo/profile/collection?

Ok, I'll settle for 2 out of 3.

That might be OK, but at least make it like a forum topic where you can actually reply to the posts on your profile without having to go into the other person's and leave a comment there. Seeing conversations that should be in a PM while you look at a page is bad enough, but seeing one-sided conversations from like 50 different people is just annoying.

And re. the nested comments, isn't there a quote option in comment threads?

I think users should be able to approve comments in their profiles. It would suck to get 10 great reviews and then have to hide them all because of 1 bozo.

Yanko, you're the god of photography, I've always taken all your comments as if they are the commandments from above. If Ansel is alive today, he would be under your student, and most of all, whenever I turn ON my camera, I would ask myself "how would Yanko shoot this?" before I click the shutter. ;p

:( You're right. But then you are always right. I mean the comments you gave me on how bad my photo sucked were dead on! When you said "You should throw your camera away!" I did just that and my photographs no longer suck. Someday I wanna be just like you! Do you have like self-portrait print for sale? I'll pay like a thousand dollars to have it hanging in my office to inspire me! Did you ever think of running for Governer or something? You should, man! I would vote for you like twenty times. I'm gonna post a suggestion that they change the site name to "Yanko's Place" - this site would not exist without you man.
