Not yet. I was going for a REALLY different idea - WAAAAAAAAAAY out of the box... but so far I'm not liking the way they look, so waiting for my new lens (50 1.4 should be here tomorrow) to reshoot.

I used my new lens, the Tamron 17-50 2.8. My first non-system lens. Pretty impressed so far. My flower shot is a little on the fringe of your typical flower shot. I figure we have to do something different to get people's attention on this one. I like it, so that means a 5 ;-) |

sitting right around 6.5000, actually 6.49 at the moment. I'd be happy with 6.5 or above. In a tiny challenge like this, that may be Top 10.
BTW, I'm working my way through on a 100% comment challenge. I think I have about 40 to go.

Got you comment, thanks. You were a bit more critical than the next comment I got right after yours;
"Spectacular. I could go on and list the things you did to perfection, but I won't. I would love to offer some constructive criticism... but I can't.
This is by far the best image I have seen in this competition thus far, and I earnestly believe it will do quite well in the challenge."
Pretty bold comment for an image scoring 6.2ish. But this person does seem very insightful. |

I'm tired of people commenting saying that I didn't follow the rules of the challenge...yet they won't ask for validation...so I did it myself...hope SC gets it done before too many people vote me down for "breaking the rules"...which I didn't...if I did I wouldn't have asked for a self validation...kind-a like commenting photo suicide if I had done something wrong. O-well...still sitting at a 6.X but wonder if it would be doing better if people didn't think I had cheated?

I asked to be validated in motion blur for the same reason. apparently when you self validate it deosnt show you as validated on your photo voting page unless someone else requests it too. hope that makes sense. it was just a waste of time as no one else has requested it be validated but it says on my home page under my scores that it has been. only no one else can see it so it doesnt help me. |

Well that sucks!! People should stop accusing and just find out for sure...man. I guess I don’t really have a bad scoreâ€Â¦just wondering if it is not going to receive its full potential because of its predicament.

| Well, I'm getting hammered today. Thought I had a shot at this one but now I'll be lucky to stay above a 6.. At least people are letting me know what they don't like about this picture. That's a good thing.. |

Still a great score. I'm miffed that your Portland Zoo butterfly image toasted my son's image taken at the Portland Rose Garden not very far away in the bokeh challenge. He lives across the river from you. If he ever beats you then you can be sure I will tell you about it. LOL!!!! ;)

The pecking order is proabably already set. I was hoping for a top 5, maybe I still may have a shot at a top 10. |
