Ive been seeing them online and they look incredible, how are they done?

I've heard about HDR images as well, this tutoral from Luminous Landscapes might help (or confuse).

Quite easy if you have CS2 - select the images and hit the automate button, photoshop can do the rest. Which is all well and good for those who have CS2.
But you can do it using layers in other versions of photoshop or whatever program you use, heres one way that I've played with
HDR tutorial, I'm sure there are others.

If you don't have CS2, you can check out Photomatixwhich partly works free (with some limitations).

I have been experimenting recently with HDR landscapes (first slideshow on my site). What I do is just shoot raw images when I see lanscapes, and process to each extreme (usually the ground and the sky) in Canon's Digital Photo Professional (by adjusting the brightness slider in RAW photo options). I save at least two photos, each one with part of the photo perfectly balanced, and then open them in photoshop. i put each one on a seperate layer, and gradient mask parts of the top one until the project looks good.
