Please do not post large images directly to the forums. When posting images to the forums, be aware that some readers access the site via dial-up, and that in some countries, Internet access is charged per KB downloaded. With this in mind, images larger than about 30K, or more than 500 pixels in either dimension, should be posted as links or thumbnails.

Why does this rule not apply to you GeneralE? If another member did this a member of SC would edit it to a link. And yet you do it anyway.

Too much caffeine today Matt?

ETA: :)

Nope just can't understand why an SC member on purpose would break the forum rules. When every time someone else does it, the photo gets removed and a link added.

It should -- but when I looked at the image properties before hot-linking it from another site (not mine) it seemed as though it would fit within the resriction. I was surprised when I saw it was as large as it was, but since it didn't seem to be bothering anyone I just left it.

If it is a big deal to you then I will download the original image, upload it to my portfolio, and post a thumbnail.

I would do this even if you asked nicely by reporting the post and not calling me out in the thread yourself.

I assumed calling you out in the thread was OK in this thread since posting an image twice the size of the forum rules was allowed. To be quite honest I figured if I reported the post it would fall on deaf ears since the post was an SC member and that is who the report would go to. The only thing that was a big deal to me is you knowingly broke a forum rule and felt it was OK. What sort of a message does that send to members who see you do it, then get their own posts edited by SC members when they do it.

Absolutely no offense intended Matt, but you are one very aggressive individual.

I can absolutely believe it's 100% unintentional. But I do assure you it does indeed come off as aggressive, and perhaps even confrontational.

Cheers,
Cory
