I have to tell you a comment I received. I've been told that my entry looks like one of the winners in past. I think I had bad vote from this person, but whatever it is, he meant that I probably stole the idea. There are a few more similar entries in current challenge but I did not steal any idea from anyone. I am kind of new here and new in photography in general and I did not realize the previous challenge when I enter mine.
Anyway, what I wanted to say here I guess, even photos might look the same, it should not mean that others are stealing the same idea. Honestly some people might think they could enhance the idea, but not doing exact same thing. In my case it was my very first shot on motion blur try and I entered because it came out pretty cool... without thinking if there is similar photos in here.
Sorry about the rant :( I did not want to offend anyone... Next time I think I will check the previous winners first. |

I wouldn't worry about it too much and I don't think most people are offended. Alot of people have re-used old ideas and done really well with it. Look at all the water drops in netting on glass to show details in the background, or shots in front of computer screens have been done so much that in the current glass challenge you can't use anything that involved holding liquid. Not only that I know that I went back for my shadows challenge and reshot something from a few years back and I believe kiwiness did the same shot more or less lighting a match for ribbons twice. I wouldn't worry about it too much even if you did know, which I don't think you did. everyone has there own opinion, if they think you stole the idea there isn't going to be much you can tell them to convince them otherwise, so just take it with a grain of salt and move one.

Some of them tell me they gave me 10.
Some of them tell me this is bad.
Guess I will get a strange voting curve, i.e. fewer 5 then usually but more of 3 and 7.
:-)
It is fun to submit pictures that make such different views.

Who here has had a nice little drop in score over the last day or so?
DPC has seemed to change since when I joined where my score would stabilize after the first day and then slowly rise. Over the last 3 months I seem to stabilize...drop a tenth or more and then regain a little. |
