There's nothing wrong with making money for yourself and keeping it to have a good life for yourself, but when you say that someone like Buffet gives away most of his money still has more money than you will ever see, you should remember that the amount of money that most people here make in a week is also more money than some people in some lands will ever see in their lives...

When someone like Buffet gives away most of his money and still has more money than I will make in my lifetime, I am not all that impressed. When someone who has less than me gives someone more needy 5 bucks, then I'm impressed...

I can't think for the life of my why you being impressed would have anything to do with the value of what he gave, much less the reason he gave it...

As I mentioned before, there's nothing at all wrong with making money and keeping/enjoying it.

The fact that he has apparently given away more than half (a lot more) does indeed say something because as we all know, many people who have a lot of money become more attached to their money as they get more...

A lot of my friends who have little will spot you 5-20 bucks without blinking, but a lot of my friends who have a lot of money will think WAY too much about such a request... and be a lot more upset if you happen to default on it...

But again, that means nothing... What will be done with the money is far more important than where the money came from.
