I shot some self portraits for another challenge site yesterday. I did tis one and photoshopped it for fun...

I think you photoshopped the second one too much. It makes your skin too yellow. The Black and White seems more natural to me.

I was looking for an old post about book recommendations and I ran across this one. This would have been great for the halloween speed challenge!

I am not seeing the too yellow. Looks pretty good to me. Maybe just a bit too saturated, but fine here. (and I just re-calibrated the monitor this month). (C:

The first one is fantastic and, maybe, you should even consider acting! =)
The second one is ok, but I cannot see it as anything more than a good portrait. |

Love both those pics, and I agree with others, the photoshopped one would have done really well in the Halloween challenge.
One comment though ..... next time you do a self portrait maybe try and find a better looking model ;) *grin*
