As backdrop for a movie poster about a violent and dark subject ... perfect. As an image for ad copy about depression, anxiety, and the latest wonder drug ... perfect. As modern art in an edgy collection ... perfect.
To advertise a Disney movie ... fatally flawed. As an image for ad copy for the newest and sweetest smelling laundry detergent ... fatally flawed. As an example of Dutch Realism ... fatally flawed.
What is your purpose and intended use? If I know this, I'll have more of a notion of how I feel about it.
On an abstract level, I like the contrast, the interplay between negative and positive space, even the color choices. For me, well done! But it ain't a photograph. It may have started life as one, but the processing takes it into the realm of abstract art.
As usual, just my opinion. |
Nice overview, and the intent is violent/dark/depression/anxiety kinda thing. What the image is, what he is doing.... I will say later don't want to spoil it so quickly L()L
