I just got done re-organizing my whole computer, and I'm getting ready to do backups of all my photo's.

I have been wondering lately how many pictures I actually have on this beast...

Finally tally is; 17,892

Yup...That's how many times I've pressed the shutter in the lsat 9 months of my life. I am pretty surprised the number is that high...almost amazed. It seems like I just started photography yesterday...

Anywho...how about you guys?

I have never backed up my images...so I figured it was about time to do that. Don't want to lose a years worth of work...that would be sad.

I have 70,723 pictures on my computer. That is most of them, starting in 2000 (very few in 2000 actually, I didn't really get into digital photography until 2001). I have deleted some off my computer but they are backed up on CDs/DVDs. Oh, and everything on my computer is also backed up on CDs or DVDs.

Be careful about these terabyte stations. I have lost two in last 1 year. All the data lost.

Which were you using? We've them in play at work for quite a while with no problems.

the make we are using is Buffalo (i think this is the name of the company that makes them). Actually we have many of them (we produce lot of data to store), and we lost two of them. Lost 8 months of research work. (Only results remained 'cos they were on different teraSt )

And all I did was cancel a copy operation (it was copying around 100G and I canceled it). It crashed.
