Wanted: Nikon D50 & Friends - DPChallenge Forums

Nikon AF-S DX Zoom Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 ED

OK, I'm well on my way to dSLR-ville thanks to some fellow DPC'ers and I'm still looking for my centerpiece. I've looked at e-Bay, Fredmiranda and henry's.ca and if I'm gonna buy from one of them I'll either be waiting until next year or I may as well buy new for people are asking.

That said, I'd like to buy a used Nikon D50 and give it a loving home. In fact, I bought a Lowepro Slingshot 100AW for it so it will be well cared for. If you have one that you can send on to a budding picture taker (not photographer yet...) then please let me know.

I'm also looking for a flash and 50 mm 1.8 (or 1.4) and perhaps a 2x teleconverter.

D50's are getting cheaper by the minute. Why not wait a lil longer and get a new one? I got a great deal on mine. I love it. I just hit 10,000 shots with it and I've only had it for 3 months. (scary!) My suggestion is to keep looking for a deal on a new one, pref. with a lens, and buy the flash and such used. JMTC

Already have the 2 lenses I want (Thanks Ursula and kosmikkreeper). I just figure for this initial plunge that used isn't a bad way to go. I definitely hear ya on the dropping price though. If all goes well this weekend then this post may just be moot.

For some reason, I think mk would take that as a challenge, but I don't see the boot going in HER ass... LOL
