I don't know whether this info can be found somewhere on DPC, if so, sorry about that, but looking at all the challenges, I find the following:
Lowest score for blue ribbon: 6.419 (Affluence Jul. 27 2005 - Aug. 2 2005)
Highest: 8.6 (Table Shot Feb. 1 2002 - Feb. 14 2002 20)
24 challenges have 8.0 or higher for blue ribbon
Lowest average score: 4.747 (At Rest Sep. 17 2003 - Sep. 23 2003 288 7.051)
Highest avg score: 6.794 (Masters' Free Study 1 Sep. 3 2004 - Sep. 30 2004 69 8.269)
Most entries (not best of): 636 (Black & White II Nov. 10 2004 - Nov. 16 2004)
Lowest score brown ribbon: 1.809 (Light Source Oct. 14 2002 - Oct. 20 2002 256 7.771 5.128 4.79)
Highest score brown ribbon: 5.631 (Masters' Free Study 1 Sep. 3 2004 - Sep. 30 2004 69 8.269 6.794 6.95)
Most votes: 213152 (Black & White II Nov. 10 2004 - Nov. 16 2004 636 6.842 5.111 4.663 2.483)
Most commented: 11434 (Minimalism Apr. 20 2005 - Apr. 26 2005 485 7.766 5.191 5.06 2.354 187795 387)

Thanks for that. I've been wondering what is the lowest score to make the top 3? In other words, the lowest score to win a yellow ribbon.

Actually, not :-)
I copy-pasted all scores from web to Excel, then using Autofilter, I can easily get these figures. Did not take many minutes ...
BUT, the yellow ribbons ... I would have to guess at the lowest "highest score", then see what the yellow ribbon was for that challenge. My guess then is check "Affluence Jul. 27 2005 - Aug. 2 2005" and see what yellow ribbon score was ...
