Is anyone using this? It's Google's instant messaging service and it is amazing. The only downside is that it is still in beta and is missing some features although it is a stable program. The interface is clean and no ads! The voice chat function is amazing and has clarity that's better than cell phones in my opinion with little to no lag (on broadband connections). The program is open to all users with an existing GMail account and to those that are invited by GMail users. It's currently missing group chat and file transfer, although that is set to be added in future releases. Give it a try and if you need an invite, PM me, I have tons of them.

Edit to add the website:
Linky

Google is HUUUGE...you know when Microsoft backs down to your company, you got things going on.

edit: all started as a way to help their college friends find stuff on the internet...then moved up to a 'office' in their garage with a ping pong table as their furniture.

I usually chat on MSN, but that is prone to problems.
Whenever MSN plays up, we move ... Google Talk ALWAYS works.

I like my bells, whistles and toys, so Google Talk is a bit too basic at this point. It also has a bit more static noise than MSN.
However, it IS very reliable.

Really? I've never had a problem with static at all. It's always clean and clear for me.
