My "new" 1D MKII has arrived! I was waiting on pins-and-needles for this ebay purchase to get here, but it came fast and in great shape. It is near new (<7000 activations) and seems to have been babied.
This thing is awesome and a bit intimidating. After reading the manual, putting in a card and attaching a lens I nearly dropped it when I first hit the shutter release. That machine gun 8.5 fps really makes a racket! It's built like a tank and weighs in at a bit over 4 lbs. w/battery. Should be quite a load with my Sigma 120-300f/2.8 on. Combined, they are around 11 lbs. - should be good for the biceps, eh?
There is a lot to learn about this camera. Quite a difference from the way my 300D works. What a beautiful camera! Can't wait to learn about it and get used to it - probably the last camera I'll buy.
Hurray!!! |

You have my envy, but not my sympathy. I'm sure you'll just have to get used to all that extra weight. :P Poor you.

Yes, 8.5 fps and for 20 frames in RAW, quite a difference.

And just who are YOU to question my wife's judgement? You're a braver man than I! |
