Have a thread where we post pictures that we have Joeyized. I figure that a bunch of us bought the DVD, got alot out of it, so lets see those Joeyized photos! I have been Joeyizing everything from scenery to people and flower macros. I need some practice though...

I like the second one, it has a scary movie feel to it.

Both of these I used a bit of grunge...don't know if that counts for what is going on here

Why, you think the results are that bad or the video is that bad????

Luckily for us, you're not us and we're not you.

I think Joey's video is excellent and I'll certainly be playing with some of his tips and tricks. I think the images posted above are great first attempts at a technique/ style that is new to these users.

Didn't you ever learn the adage: "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all"? If not nice, then at the very least, useful.

Yeah I heard that once...I didn't necessarilly think what I was saying was nice, but did think it would be useful. It's my opinion...it doesn't seem like it worked for those who posted their photos above. Sorry if you don't see things my way...if any further discussion is needed, feel free to just forget about it because it's really not that important to me. I said what I think and that's that.

Anyway...you do what you gotta do to make yourself believe that it was $25 well-spent. Meanwhile, it's all techniques that are available on the internet, for free anwyay. It's not like Joey invented some processing style. And just the fact that I have comments on my entries saying they would look better if they had some "Joey Processing" makes me a bit sick to be completely honest.

Get off the kid's back...his ego's probably big enough as it is.

On another note...what are the rules on selling 2500 worth of stuff in Canada to various countries...do you have to claim some sort of income tax on that stuff?

Many of us who spent the $25 are fully aware that we could dig around the internet and find similar advice for free but... a lot of the point is supporting a talented young DPCer who showed initiative and got off his butt to raise funds by selling something others might value rather than just holding his hand out for a donation like so many do.

Whether or not you like his style is absolutely your decision.

Just because you don't and a whole lot of others do doesn't mean the guy has too big of an ego. Actually he strikes me as very modest and down-to-earth. But then I'm quite into seeing the best in people and being optimistic about the people I hang around with. And you? Well....

For the record, the only images I've seen that were similar to the video tutorial were the ones Rex posted. The other shots in this thread, although very nice, were not addressed in the video.

Do you not like Rex's shots? I do. I'll bet if you didn't have such a vendetta you would.

Shhh...Don't let the Receiver General in on this. He takes enough as it is. No, really, Joey has nothing to worry about, being only 16 years old.

the negativity in this site is part of the reason I have slowly turned away from this site. Probably part of the reason we lost quite a few good members. But I think I have decided to stick to my obligation of Tem Captain in WPL2 and then slowly fade and be forgotten here. I reall am just tired of the negative shit posted.
