I recently bought a new Nikon D70s and now I'm considering buying a flash with it. I've never used other flashes than the internal ones, and I know nothing about it. I tried searching the Internet for some basics, but most of them go quickly into calculations on how to figure out your GN value or something.
Can anyone help me on the basics? What do you need to know about flash photography? What are good flashes for a Nikon? Are the price differences between the types (400 for the SB800, 250 for the SB600) really noticable? |

| I probably need to add that I'm from europe, where the 600 is about 280 euros (about 350US$) and the 800 is 400 euros (about 500US$) |
