Well, visit the missions, anyway. I've stuck a bunch of shots from the San Antonio missions in my portfolio. Feel free to browse, just to get a taste of San Antonio, Texas, if you haven't managed to get there in person. Comments are not necessary - these are my "tourist" pictures. You may also want to check the portfolios of SandyP, PhantomEWO, dleach, and TheresaA, who also have mission pictures. In fact, you may notice that certain angles get shot alot! Enjoy. |

I personally think it'd be a neat idea if everyone had a section of their portfolio for their "neck of the woods", so we could all get a flavour for one another's surroundings, and perhaps see something of what inspires. Beautiful images, Deb. |

Yeah those are cool churches to photograph and it looks like you got some good shots. I shot some but only have one in my portfolio right now.
And of course heavily processed. :P |

Ya know, I wonder if there would be any interest in like a hill country get together. I would travel...its not that far. |

I'd love to have one!! We've had a mini-get-together here in SA, but a more encompassing one would be great. |

Don't people in San Antonio eagerly await the return every year of the bats to the missions San Juan and Concepcion?
(Get it... San Juan Capistrano)
Ok... bad joke... beautiful missions, though. :) :)

Swallows, not bats, silly. :-)
There are bats in Austin somewhere, I hear. In fact, I need one of our Austin members to tell me where that is and when they fly.... |

They are under the Congress bridge. I believe they fly out between 8:00-9:00. People usually line the street and also camp out down below at Town Lake park. |
