I want to thank everyone for their votes and great comments on my entry in Unexpected Find.
I photographed this about an hour after the challenge started...but didn't know about the challenge till a few hours later...so it was great timing.
Ihave many awesome shots from this shoot. I was lying on the ground between two motorbike ramps in the middle of the show arena with a few thousand people watching. The motorbikes hit the ramps and flew over me allowing me to get these unusual angles. I love doing the risky jobs...lol!!
But in the meantime I have put together a slideshow of the event...please give it time to download.
MotoX Freestyle
Oh and Serge....I gotcha!!

Wow wow wow wow wow!!! I am in awe! What a wonderful slideshow! I'm sure you had a hard time picking an image for the challenge - there are 100s of good ones there.
ps. As I said before, it is an honor to lose a challenge to you!
:-)

Love the shot and the 'video'. Is it me or the sky in the photo above look strange?

An outstanding shot Judi! The fact that the rider's looking right down at you is what really mkes this, IMO.
The reported "funniness" in the sky is just a *hint* of posterization, due to the very monochromtic and noise-free sky and probably to post-shot curves adjustments. It's *just* visible on my LCD monitors at work, and that's probably worst-case. |

Hmmm interesting. I havent been able to see it yet. And I know that what I see is what comes back from the printers. Thanks Kirbic.

Might be the problem only exists on the web version.
Edit: I've seen compression for the web do that.

Judi...you've got a lot of really nice shots there! A couple of comments...I was unable to play the slideshow in Mozilla 1.71 - had to go to IE to get it to work (external player). Also, I found the effects (zooming and panning, etc.) to be really distracting. I would have much preferred straight shots so that I could examine them. Too much going on - sort of like some of the newer shows on ESPN - gives me a headache!
Anyway, you did a really fine job on the photography!

I don't know why you had troubles...! Sorry about that. I thought of doing straight shots but felt they were too similiar and wanted to show the connection or the flow of the movement with the scenes.
