I have been driving from Dc to NYC several time and I am going to do it again. when arriving to NYC on the I95, there is this huge .. factory/complex on the left of the highway. I drove by at night and always liked the colors and the light. It's pretty huge maybe a half mile long.
Would anyone have any idea of the location of this : the name of the company and /or the exit ?
Thank you very much in advance

Lionel...I know of this site that you are speaking of...I have past there many times and have always wanted to photograph it. Only problem is I think it can only be viewed from up on a highway that you can't get out on...it would be too dangerous and illegal.
I don't recall the name of the company, but it's an electric power plant and is located on exit 13 of the New Jersey Tpke (Interstate 95) in Elizabeth. It's located on the New Jersey side of the Gothels Bridge and your best bet to get to it may be to park your car at the toll plaza of the bridge and walk up the ramp. It will be dangerous and you may be stopped by the police, if they see you doing it.
But it may be well worth trying as this could really make an awsome shot...good luck.

hi Jeff .. I am in NYC and you're right it is before exit 13a. I had found it with yahoo map following the highway. It's 'Linden Oil'. I exited the highway yesterday (daylight though) and drove 20mn all around without finding it without a map.
I might bo back at night this WE but the best place would be fro; the highway for sure !! pretty dangerous.
I will let you know and thanks for your answer !
You can go yahoo map, click on 'zoom level 3' and you will see the linden oil plant.

Hey I live pretty close to there(I'm off exit 11) and I never even thought of photographing it!
I guess sometimes you don't see things right in front of your face.

I am in NYC for the WE, until monday. I drove by at night and it's beautiful in its way. I am a litlle afraid to go there by myself ... I do not know if it's 'risky' or not. Yesterday I did not have a map, I might try again. But it has to be at night for great shots !
