Hey there
I'm looking to buy some old FD prime film photographic lenses.
I want them so I can fit them on a 35mm lense adapter I have put together for my video camcorder. These will be used for my film project this summer. The idea is to give the look of film DOF to a MiniDV camcorder.
The mount is interchangable and fits Canon or Nikon lenses. Anyone got anything? :-)
I can pay with paypal |

| On FD stuff, you may find that ebay is a good place. Normally, ebay lens prices are inflated, but for niche-market stuff like the old FD-mount lenses that's not necessarily the case. |

| Not sure whether I sold them in the last year or not. I'll check when I get home Joey. |

I bought the Letus35XL For my Canon XL2. I'm using it with an FD 50mm 1.4 that I got on ebay for about $50.
In low light the Letus adapter is almost unusable. Can't use it much above F 2.0. The DOF is very shallow and it is very hard to focus. I'm not that happy with the adapter.
Which adapter did you get? How much light loss? Does it use a relay lens to Flip the image? |

Sorry Joey, all I have left is a Focal MC Auto Zoom 1:4.5 80-200mm
Your welcome to it for $5 and shipping though.
I don't figure I'll get more than that on E-bay. |

Beware the mechanical aperture setting on Canon FD lenses - you cannot alter the aperture manually off camera.

Check out the work of Olivo Barbieri. As well as his still images, he produces films in his famous "model" style created using a set up similar to what you appear to be planning to use. I saw one of his films (Rome) at the Hayward Gallery in London last October - mesmerising.

I was looking at the B&H 2006 catalog while sitting through my daily constitution and noticed that they sell used FD lens sets.
Just thought I would tell ya that.
