Hey guys...ok, brainstorming time.

I have a band called Southern Crush that I am doing a photo shoot for in the next week or so.

Their new album is called "Twice As Hard" - it will be their second release.

They want an angled down shot on all three members and they want it themed around the "twice as hard" title. They don't have a specific location in mind...

please give me all your thoughts/ideas!

54 views...not one suggestion.

This deserves to get bumped in my opinion - please help, I'm really needing some suggestions.

Okay, I'll take a stab at it with some stream of consciousness ideas...

brick wall
concrete blocks
firehouse
standing on stairs (different levels), arched doorways
blue and gray
ice-cold
basketball court (?)
three close together or back-to-back

this would be a good place to see what NOT to do.

I saw this thread earlier and was trying to rack my brain to think of a great backdrop for this type of photo, but I just don't get into Atlanta enough. There's a really odd fountain/sculpture down around Centennial park up the road from the Tabernacle I think... looks like Roots or big worm things. I have no idea what they are supposed to be, but you might be able to get up on top of one of them and shoot down onto the band with the other worm things in the background.

I wish I had some other suggestions, but I'm stumped to think of something creative right now. Good luck with your shoot though. :)

Edited for clarity. :-)

Going out on a limb here - but what about a pool table - if you could get above it you could have them sit back to back to form a triangle, and have them hold cue sticks and look up towards the camera. Also, some pool tables come in some nice bright colors now which might make a good backdrop. Just an idea, It's late, so if this is a stupid idea please overlook it - lol.

I always enjoy shots of them doing what they do.. playing. Live shots can be magical.

You can get *behind the scene* shots of them jamming/practicing which will be more casual yet still capture the reality of their lives and passion...easy enough to stand on a chair and get them from above.

then of course the band shots.. find out what they think would be cool and add your own twist... looking at your portfolio.. you have a style.. I like the rawness of your sassy picture and a few others.. just be true to what your gut says .. and combine it with what the *client* wants & start climbing...

but thats just me ;)
