I want to enter a photo in a challenge but want to make sure that I don't do something considered against the rules causing a dq
My editing software, Microsoft Digital Image Suite, has some creative filters "pastel, chrome, water color, pencil sketch etc...
Can I use these filters which effect the picture as a whole? Some of these change the photo quite a bit. |

My understanding is that these are a "no no" for Basic Editing and probably a "no no" for advanced as well, as they significantly alter the picture. However, I think we need the "powers that be" to give us the final verdict on the advanced stuff.

| You can contact them from the help tab, top right, then "contact". When in doubt, poke 'em and ask! :) |

My entry would be for a challenge with advanced editing. I sent a message to the "Powers that Be" but I didn't attach a copy of the possible entry. Could I have without violating any rules?
How long does it take to find out?
What happens if I enter the photo and it is dq'd. Does it count against me in some way in the future? Will I be able to continue to enter challenges? |

Advance editing should be legal, but some folks may mark down the score if it looks too processed.

The DQ will effect you in that I believe 2 DQ and you will be band for a little while. It's always good to ask questions if you are not sure, before voting starts.
