Can you tell me about the quality of this lens? The sharpness, how it works in low light situations, how fast it is, etc?

Any large examples would be very appriciated as well.

Thanks!

I just got that lense recently and so far I'm pretty happy with it. The macro option is nice (you can only enable it between 200mm and 300mm), and at 300mm you stay far away from your subject. I havent had many chances to take photos with it cause its been raining for a while here, but I'm actually planning to take it to the zoo soon.

I think it's a great lens for outdoors, but it's pretty slow to be used indoors. I don't know if its a great lens, but I think it's fairly inexpensive and gives good results for it's price range.

I was asking because I got the lens named on the thread for my birthday, don't want to get another one that's almost the exact same. :P

I LOVE IT! It is the best all around lens in my bag and pretty dang good macro to boot. A shot with this lens, more are in my portfollio. The reason I like this lens for macro is it gives you quite a bit of distance between you and the subject, but remains sharp.
