I ran across my fathers old Yashica (I don't know all the details since it's not here) and the lens is frozen and will not turn (Focus, AV e.t.c. set on the lens obviously).

Any advice on what could be done - short of a service (most likely cheaper to just replace the lens in that case) - that is not fatal to get the lens going. I did stop him reaching for the WD40 :-/ I will not likely use it but just wanted to run a few rolls thru to play around.
